JAKARTA - PT Midi Utama Indonesia Tbk (MIDI), which manages the Alfamidi network, posted a net profit of IDR 158.56 billion in the first quarter of 2024, up 34.94% from the same period in 2023 of IDR 117.50 billion. This increase is in line with income growth, especially from the Jabodetabek area.

Suantopo Po, MIDI Company Secretary, said that revenue in the first quarter of 2024 was recorded at IDR 4.77 trillion, up from the first quarter of 2023 of IDR 4.03 trillion. Gross profit was IDR 1.26 trillion, up from IDR 1.08 trillion and operating profit IDR 209.15 billion, up from IDR 182.31 billion.

In the first quarter of 2024, the highest sales were in Jabodetabek IDR 2.13 trillion, followed by IDR 1.91 trillion outside Java, and IDR 722.19 billion in Java excluding Jabodetabek. In the same period in 2023, revenue from Jabodetabek contributed IDR 1.87 trillion, outside Java IDR 1.60 trillion, and non-Jabodetabek Java IDR 557.54 billion.

On the other hand, Suantopo said that the company operates 2,958 outlets until March 2024. Meanwhile, Alfamidi has 2,208 outlets, Alfamidi Super has 49 outlets, Midi Fresh has eight units, and Lawson has 693 units. (LK/LM)
