JAKARTA. PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS), a sharia bank owned by several national banks, announced its cash dividend distribution of IDR 855.56 billion or IDR 18.55 per share.

Wisnu Sunandar, Corporate Secretary of BRIS, mentioned that the cash dividend allocation is equal to 14.99% of 2023 net profit. “It follows the result of Annual GMS on May 17, 2024,” he added in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The cash dividend will be paid to BRIS’s shareholders whose names have been listed by the recording date on May 31, 2024. The cash dividend payment is due to June 20, 2024.

According to IDNFinancials data, BRIS scored net profit of IDR 5.7 trillion in 2023. At the end of 2023, the company reported unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 3.71 trillion and total equity of IDR 38.74 trillion.

On yesterday’s (22/5) trading session, BRIS’s stock price was closed 110 points or 4.45% lower to IDR 2,360 per share. However, since the beginning of this year, the stock price has increased 620 points or 35.63% higher. (KR/ZH)
