Two years profiting, MAPB still hesitates on dividend distribution
JAKARTA - PT MAP Boga Tbk (MAPB) still did not decide on dividend distribution for the fiscal year (FY) 2023, although it has secured net profit following improved revenue.
Within the past four years, the revenue of MAPB has consistently grown, although it recorded losses in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-10 pandemic.
Based on the data compiled by IDNFinancials today (27/5), the company reported net profit of IDR 3.99 trillion in 2023, 16.35% year-on-year (yoy) higher from IDR 3.43 trillion in 2022. Gross profit also grew 17.34% yoy to IDR 2.76 trillion from IDR 2.35 trillion, while net profit attributable to parent entity shrank 22.22% yoy to IDR 105 billion from IDR 135 billion.
In 2021, the issuer did not allocate any dividend following a loss of IDR 13 billion. The revenue actually reached IDR 2.43 trillion, and the gross profit arrived at IDR 1.64 trillion.
For comparison, in 2020, MAPB recorded revenue of IDR 2.04 trillion, gross profit of IDR 1.37 trillion, and loss of IDR 165 billion. (LK/ZH)
