JAKARTA - The digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) ranked first on the top buy list after foreign investors purchased 1.38 billion shares on Wednesday, May 22, for a net volume of 802.09 million. These trades accounted for more than a third of the overall foreign purchase volume, totaling 3.06 billion shares. Meanwhile, foreign sales volume was 2.34 billion shares, bringing the net foreign volume surplus to 727.57 million shares.

Furthermore, the electric vehicle battery manufacturer PT Merdeka Battery Material Tbk (MBMA) and the renewable energy company PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) each had a net volume of approximately 60 million shares after foreign investors purchased 81.38 million MBMA shares and 63.69 million OASA shares. Shares of the consultancy and investment firm PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF) were then purchased for 53.67 million shares, with a net volume of 40.97 million. In addition, shares of PT BFI Finance Indonesia Tbk (BFIN), which focused on the leasing sector, were purchased for 23.43 million shares, for a net volume of 22.60 million.

The top-selling list was then dominated by sales of banking company shares, namely PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), and PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI). BBCA shares were sold for 105.92 million shares, for a net volume of -36.31 million shares. Then, BBRI and BBNI had a net volume of -25 million shares each after foreign investors sold 133.75 million BBRI shares and 43.06 million BBNI shares. In the petrochemical and energy sectors, 67.16 million shares of PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) were sold, and the net volume was -24.23 million shares. The sale of 28.13 million shares of precious metals business PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), for a net volume of -24.13 million shares, marked the end of the foreign share transactions list. (KD)
