JAKARTA – Once hindered by pandemic, PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk (MTDL) now aims for revenue target of IDR 25 trillion again this year, or 13% year-on-year (yoy) increase from the revenue reported in 2023 of IDR 22 trillion.

“In 2018, we envisioned to reach revenue target of IDR 25 trillion within the next five years, meaning in 2023. However, due to the pandemic, the growth is delayed,” claimed Randy Kartadinata, Director of MTDL.

“Therefore, we expect that in 2024, we will be able to realise the revenue target of IDR 25 trillion,” added Kartadinata. According to the Annual Public Expose of MTDL today (3/6), MTDL’s prospect seems quite promising, with revenue surge of up to 12.3% yoy in Q1 2024 to IDR 5.1 trillion.

Meanwhile, the management also aims to drive net profit inceases 10%, indicating an anticipation of lower net profit margin. In other words, from its 2023 net profit of IDR 650.8 billion, MTDL seeks net profit of approximately IDR 716 billion in 2024.

Until late March 2024, MTDL indeed booked quite insignificant increase in its net profit of Q1 2024, only climbing 0.7% yoy to IDR 147 billion.

It is due to the distribution unit of MTDL, which contributed over 70% of total revenue, has low profitability compared to solution and consultation unit of MTDL.

“In Q2, the growth is also dominated by distribution business line. Surely, [the demand of] solution and consultation unit will be higher in the second half of the year,” concluded Kartadinata. (ZH)
