JAKARTA. The realization of PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk (AMAR) buybacks reached 158.54 million shares during January-June 2024.

This realization is equivalent to 43.12% of the company's initial plan. The funds allocated by the company for the share buyback amount to IDR 41.61 billion.

The remaining funds for the buyback of AMAR shares are currently IDR 16.23 billion.

During that period, AMAR carried out share buybacks at an average price of IDR 262 per share. This price is around 17% higher than the company's share price at the close of trading last Monday (8/7), namely IDR 224 per share.

Even though there has been intervention with share buybacks, AMAR's share price has actually fallen by 88 points or 28.21% since the beginning of 2024. Meanwhile, in trading over the last year, AMAR's share price has fallen by 66 points or 22.76%. (KR/LM)
