JAKARTA – Bersama Digital Data Centres (BDDC), the managing company of data centres under Tower Bersama Group, finally inaugurates its second in-town data centre, Jakarta Selatan Timur (JST1).

On November 21, 2023, BDDC is known to have hold a topping-off ceremony of JST1 after starting its construction phase in August 2022. JST1 itself is dubbed as Tier-IV data centre, which will hold 1,008 racks in 8 levels.

“JST1 will promote better performance and lower latency to meet the needs of data centres for various business in Indonesia, as shorter distance to end users will result in safer connectivity with high network transmission,” claimed Setyanto Hantoro, President Commissioner of BDDC.

Both data centres of BDDC are indeed located within Jakarta area. Its first data centre, Jakarta Barat Tangerang (JBT1), is located in Daan Mogot, Kalideres.

“In the future, BDDC plans to increase the capacity to 32 MW in JST and 30 MW in JBT,” added Hantoro.

It is worth mentioning that BDDC is fully supported by its controlling shareholders of its parent entity, Bersama Digital Infrastructure Asia (BDIA).

The consortium of shareholders consists of Provident Capital (Provident), PT Saratoga Investama Sedaya Tbk (SRTG), and Macquarie Asset Management. (ZH)
