JAKARTA - Total imports in June 2024 amounted to US$ 18.45 billion, up 7.58% from June 2023 of US$ 17.15 billion. The import achievement fell 4.89% compared to May 2024 of US$ 19.39 billion.

In a release quoted on Tuesday (16/7), Sarpono, Director of Distribution Statistics at BPS, said that oil and gas imports were US$ 3.27 billion and non-oil and gas imports were US$ 15.18 billion. In the oil and gas sector, crude oil imports were US$ 1.12 billion and oil products were US$ 2.14 billion.

In May 2024, oil and gas imports will reach US$ 2.74 billion, consisting of crude oil of US$ 836.4 million and oil products of US$ 1.91 billion. Meanwhile, non-oil and gas imports were US$ 16.65 billion.

Meanwhile, oil and gas imports in June 2023 amounted to US$ 2.22 billion, consisting of US$ 672.3 million in crude oil and US$ 1.55 billion in oil products. Non-oil and gas imports were recorded at US$ 14.92 billion.

Oil and gas imports from the beginning of the year to June 2024 were recorded at US$ 109.64 billion, higher than the same period in 2023 which was valued at US$ 108.72 billion. Oil and gas imports were US$ 18 billion and non-oil and gas imports were US$ 91.63 billion. (LK/LM)
