JAKARTA. PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) or KAI is scheduling an issuance of bond and sukuk with total principal of IDR 1 trillion.

There will be three series of bond offered by KAI titled Shelf-Registration Bond I of KAI Phase II Year 2024. Approximately IDR 67 billion will be issued through series A, IDR 295.5 billion for series B, and IDR 337.5 billion for series C.

Coupon offered by KAI for series A is 6.90% per annum (p.a.), while series B’s coupon is set to 7.20% p.a., and series C, 7.30% p.a. In the meantime, the tenors set for each series of bond vary from 3, 5, to 7 years.

Then, there will also be three series of sukuk ijarah offered by KAI, consisting of series A of IDR 62.5 billion, series B of IDR 127.27 billion, and series C of IDR 110.23 billion.

The ijarah yield instalment per year for series A is set to IDR 4.31 billion, series B, IDR 9.16 billion; and series C, IDR 8.05 billion. Then, the tenors issued for three series of sukuk ijarah also vary from 3 to 5 and 7 years.

The public offering period of bond and sukuk ijarah of KAI will take place from August 6 to 7, 2024, followed by the listing on Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) on August 12, 2024.

The assigned joint underwriters of this KAI’s bond and sukuk issuance include PT Bahana Sekuritas, PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas, PT CIMB Niaga Sekuritas, and PT Mandiri Sekuritas. (KR/ZH)
