Foreign investors buy big sum of Gojek Tokopedia shares, net foreign volume recorded surplus at 174.73 million
JAKARTA - In contrast to the previous day, shares of digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) were the most purchased on Friday, August 2, with foreign investors purchasing almost 750 million shares for a net volume of 153.57 million shares. The foreign buying volume was 2.19 billion shares, while the foreign selling volume was 2.02 billion shares. As a result, net foreign volume shifted into the green zone, closing at 174.73 million shares.
Foreign investors then resumed their share acquisition by purchasing 143.86 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), which focuses on energy resource infrastructure, for a net volume of 120.75 million shares. In the banking industry, about 153.87 million shares of PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) were purchased, with the net volume being 60.18 million shares. Then, 66.36 million shares of home goods retailer PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) were purchased, followed by 61.84 million shares of aerosol services provider PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO). From those transactions, the ACES and EURO net volumes were both in the range of 50 million shares.
Meanwhile, foreign investors began the share sale list by selling 142.18 million shares of PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN). a telecommunication company, for a net volume of -142.13 million shares. Shares of the e-commerce company PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) were the next shares sold, at around 94.27 million shares, and the net volume was -55.55 million shares. Furthermore, shares of PT Sarana Menara Nusantara Tbk (TOWR), a telecommunications infrastructure provider, were sold for 49.72 million shares, for a net volume of -40.99 million shares. Around 65.29 million shares of the banking company PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) were sold, with a net volume of -39.06 million shares. The top-selling list concluded with the sale of 26.60 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), for a net volume of -20 million shares. (KD)
