JAKARTA. PT Sarimelati Kencana Tbk (PZZA), the license holder of Pizza Hut in Indonesia, reported another loss of IDR 75.11 billion in the first half (H1) of 2024.

The same loss could also be seen in the same period last year, in which PZZA reported loss of IDR 45.12 billion. However, in this first half, its loss worsened 66.5% year-on-year (yoy).

According to the recently released financial report, PZZA’s decline seemingly resulted from sales that dropped 24.3% yoy to IDR 1.37 trillion. In the same period last year, its sales were at IDR 1.81 trillion.

Food sales still contributed the most to total sales of PZZA in H1 2024 with, generating IDR 1.29 trillion, while another IDR 90.54 billion came from beverages’ sales.

Until June 30, 2024, PZZA’s total assets were reported at IDR 2.17 trillion, with cash and cash equivalent of IDR 61.87 trillion and total equity clocking up to IDR 1 trillion. (KR/ZH)
