JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) was seen fluctuating since the opening bell until 11 AM WIB today (19/8). Nevertheless, the index was seen strengthening at 7,445.26 at 11.14 AM WIB.

At today’s opening session, JCI started at 7,433.59 before climbing to 7,445.71 at 9.05 AM WIB, a position slightly higher than the last Friday’s (16/8) closing position.

However, the uptrend at opening bell did not last long, as index slipped to the red zone at 7,428.13. The trend resembles a roller-coaster, as after the jump, the index saw a sharp downturn to 7,431.06 before hitting 11 AM WIB.

Several indices were seen corrected by the morning session’s closing bell, including IDX30 that went down 0.02% to 469.901 and IDXESGL that went 0.52% to 164.602.

On the other hand, other indices showed improvement, including LQ45 that moved up 0.09% to 926.964, IDX80 that shifted 0.10% up to 129.415, and IDXBUMN20 that grew 0.36% to 402.042.

Some stocks that suffered from this downtrend include PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), and PT Chandra Asria Pacific Tbk (TPIA).

Meanwhile, other stocks were seen gaining strides, such as PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), and PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN). (LK/ZH)
