JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) gained strength, arriving at 7,610.23 at today’s (26/8) closing bell. This achievement reflects an optimistic start for the week after at the morning session, JCI opened at 7,571.00.

Index showed a consistent bullish trend throughout the day, picking up after the uptrend seen last Friday (23/8). JCI broke its record again today, arriving at over 7,600.

Several other indices also reflected the JCI upturn, including LQ45 that went up 0.95% to 943,215, IDX30 that went up 1.02% to 131.858, IDX80 up 1.02% to 131.573, and IDXESGL up 0.53% to 165.206.

Some blue-chip stocks followed this positive shift, including PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), and PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN).

However, other issuers got corrected, such as PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT PERTAMINA Gas Negara Tbk (PGAS), and PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN). (LK/ZH)
