JCI was sluggish throughout the day
JAKARTA – Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index (JCI) was seen slipping throughout today’s (3/9) session, contrasting with yesterday’s (2/9) solid trend that brought JCI to the level of 7,700-ish.
Monitoring the board this afternoon, JCI stagnated at 7,620.53 nearing the closing bell. The index has indeed slowed down since the opening bell at 9 AM WIB. It was opened at a solid point at 7,715.33, before gradually slipping to 7,650.
Although the index slid down throughout the day, but it remained stable within the optimistic zone. It was also reflected in several other flourishing indices in the green zone, such as LQ45 that went up 0.62% to 950.370, IDX30 up 0.77% to 482.611, and IDX80 up 0.64% to 132.931, while IDXESGL was corrected 0.25% to 166.811.
Several mining companies saw decline, including PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), and PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (JNCO).
However, other issuers were seen flourishing, including PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (INDF), PT Mitra Keluarga Tbk (MIKA), and PT Siloam Hospitals Tbk (SILO). (LK/ZH)
