Gov’t to hold another state sukuk auction, now eyeing IDR 8 trillion
JAKARTA. The Indonesian government will hold another round of auction of Government Sharia Securities (lit. Surat Berharga Syariah Negara/SBSN) or State Sukuk on September 10, 2024.
There will be 7 series of sukuk offered in said auction, as stated by the Directorate General of Budget Financing and Risk Management of the Ministry of Finance. They consist of 2 series of Government Sharia Treasury Notes (lit. Surat Perbendaharaan Negara – Syariah/SPNS) and 5 series of Project-Based Sukuk (PBS).
Both SPNS series will be equipped with a discount, while 5 PBS series will be offered with varying yield rates, from 4.87% to 6.87%.
According to IDNFinancials data, the Indonesian government has conducted 17 rounds of state sukuk auction since the beginning of this year. The accumulated incoming bids have reached IDR 345.17 trillion, while the awarded amount reaches IDR 151.87 trillion. (KR/ZH)
