JAKARTA – Menara Syariah and the Brunei Institute of Leadership & Islamic Finance (BILIF) are collaborating to hold the Islamic Leaders Conference (ILC) 2024 which will be held for two days on September 11-12, 2024, at Menara Syariah, PIK 2. This event will be a forum for in-depth discussion about leadership in Islam and its role in promoting national prosperity.

Harianto Solichin, Commissioner of Menara Syariah, hopes that this event can encourage constructive dialogue across groups through panel discussions held by ILC 2024.

"This conference is an important platform that facilitates dialogue, collaboration and collective action to overcome the challenges faced by domestic and global society," he said when opening the Islamic Leaders Conference 2024 on the first day, Wednesday (11/9).

For information, the 2024 Islamic Leaders Conference will be attended by speakers from various circles, ranging from academics, government, sharia company leaders, and experienced practitioners. "It is our responsibility to work together, foster understanding between diverse communities, and uphold the values ​​that bind us as Muslims and part of the global community," Solichin added.

On the same occasion, Prof. Dr. Komarudin Hidayat, Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS), conveyed the importance of Muslims remembering and applying Islamic values ​​in advancing Indonesia and the economy, for example through entrepreneurial empowerment and its supporting ecosystem.

"Islamic financial institutions, such as Sharia Banks, for example, when you enter Islamic boarding schools and Islamic educational institutions, don't just focus on talking about money. Their presence should provide strengthening and enrichment of institutional development, curriculum and entrepreneurial ethos," said Hidayat in his opening remarks today (11/9) at ILC 2024. (ZH/LM)
