JAKARTA – There is a need for capable and reliable human resources to boost Indonesia as sharia economic centre. It is mentioned by Saiful Rahmat Dasuki, Vice Minister of Religion, in a written speech during Islamic Leaders Conference at Menara Syariah, Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK) 2, Thursday (12/9).

“I hope that through this conference, there will come a leader generation that is able to bring Indonesia’s sharia economic forward, more inclusive, and sustainable,” Dasuki said.

According to Dasuki, the future leader generation should not only focus on profitability, but also nurturing a harmonious vision towards the benefits of moslem communities, social justice, and the good for the people, instead.

In addition, Dasuki believes that sharia economy is not limited to halal transactions, but also covering the efforts to generate sustainable and fair welfare for the people.

It is known that Islamic Leaders Conference have taken place since yesterday (11/9), featuring several renowned speakers, including Komarudin Hidayat, Commissioner of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS); Euis Amalia, Head of Banten Sharia Economy and Finance Regional Committee (KDEKS); Dwi Irianti Hadiningdyah, Director of Sharia Social Finance of Sharia Economy and Finance National Committee (KNEKS); and Busrul Iman, President Director of PT BPD Jawa Timur Tbk (BJTM).
