Barito Pacific lets go of eight billion shares of Chandra Asri (TPIA)
JAKARTA - On Wednesday, September 18, PT Barito Pacific Tbk, the company that owns nearly 20% of the shares of PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), released 8 billion shares of this petrochemical processing and manufacturing company. Barito Pacific's share portion fell by nearly half to 10.62% as soon as shares were sold through PT Harita Kencana Sekuritas.
This time, a number of foreign investors also participated in the share reduction. Prinsep Management Limited was the first to sell 18.93 million shares of the palm oil company, PT FAP Agri Tbk (FAPA). Additionally, 4.85 million shares of port and terminal service provider PT Tanah Laut Tbk (INDX) were sold by investor and controller Equatorex Sdn Bhd. Then, from 88.65% to 88.64%, Ruhong Holding Pte Ltd reported a decrease in the share portion in PT Perma Plasindo Tbk (BINO) without a corresponding decrease in the total number of shares owned. BINO itself manufactures and distributes office stationery under the Bantex brand.
Furthermore, via PT Bank HSBC Indonesia, HSBC Bank Plc subsequently sold 775,300 shares of PT Apexindo Pratama Duta Tbk (APEX). However, BNYM ACP Fund I LP -2039927338, another foreign investor, actually made a new share investment in this issuer that deals with onshore and offshore drilling services by acquiring 197.66 million APEX shares through BUT Deutsche Bank AG, which is equivalent to 5.57% ownership.
In contrast, the largest purchase of shares was made by I Nyoman Ehrich Lister, the most recent individual investor in PT Royal Prima Tbk (PRIM), an issuer that operates hospitals in the health sector. This investor currently owns 7.17% of PRIM shares through PT OCBC Sekuritas Indonesia. The import-export business PT Prima Globalindo Logistik Tbk (PPGL) then saw a 1.35 million share increase from Darmawan Suryadi SM, giving this controller approximately 52.37% of the total shares. PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala ultimately purchased 1.12 million shares of financial services provider PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA), and PT Arthakencana Rayatama purchased 1.10 million shares of fuel distribution company PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA).
