JAKARTA. PT Perusahaan Gas Negara (PGAS) or PGN is eyeing the potential of industrial natural gas development with total volume of up to 15 BBTUD in Sulawesi through the signing of 2 Memorandums of Understanding (MoU).

The first MoU was signed by PGAS alongside KSI Indogawa and Sinatar Tara Sejati. Then, the second MoU was signed with Industri Pattene.

Ratih Esti Prihatini, Director of Commercial of PGAS, mentioned that this potential development will create a collaboration as a beneficial synergy for both industrial and regional economy development.

“It is expected that all parties could immediately follow-up the agreement in order to become a concrete collaboration in which natural gas could become an attractive factor for investment,” said Prihatini.

In addition, Prihatini also said that this collaboration is PGAS’s commitment to maintain natural gas supply in order for it to be optimally utilised.

“This partnership is valuable for PGN that currently wishes to expand Sulawesi market. Furthermore, PGN wishes to increase natural gas portion in clean energy mix, especially in Central and Eastern Indonesia,” added Prihatini. (KR/ZH)
