JAKARTA - PT Pelayaran Nasional Bina Buana Raya Tbk (BBRM) has acquired one unit of Self Propelled Barge (SPB) with a capacity of 12,000 Dead Weight Ton (DWT) from PT Marcopolo Shipyard (MS) for USD 6.5 million through an affiliate transaction.

In the information disclosure quoted Friday (11/10), Susanti Novita, Corporate Secretary of BBRM, mentioned that the independent appraisal of SPB Premier Bahari stated that the price was actually IDR 105.09 billion, equal to USD 6.92 million with currency exchange rate of IDR 15,168 per USD.

The handover of this barge took place yesterday (9/10), the purchase agreement of which had been signed on September 27, 2022, with PT Marcopolo Shipyard. The total transaction value of USD 6.5 million is equivalent to 21.83% of BBRM’s equity as of December 2023.

With this vessel acquisition, BBRM’s assets increase by USD 6.5 million, while liabilities grew by USD 4.5 million, following the total credit investment given by PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI). (LK/ZH)
