KLAS to distribute stock dividend with 12:1 ratio
JAKARTA – Shareholders of PT Pelayaran Kurnia Lautan Semesta Tbk (KLAS) have agreed upon distribution of stock dividend with a ratio of 12:1, meaning that for every 12 shares, the owner will receive one share as dividend.
From the information disclosure quoted Thursday (7/11), the stock dividend will be taken out of the capitalisation of unrestricted retained earnings of IDR 51.96 billion as of December 2023. Total new shares will then rise to 180.41 million shares.
This stock dividend distribution will then boost the number of outstanding shares circulating in the market, thus making stock transaction more liquid.
The stock dividend distribution will be implemented using round-down system, and the company has decided not to issue unclaimed shares (leftover shares).
Authorised capital of KLAS in 2023 reached IDR 260 billion, relatively stable to 2022’s position at IDR 260 billion as well. Then, the issued and paid-up capital rose to IDR 86.60 billion from IDR 65 billion, as did its extra paid-up capital to IDR 61.67 billion from only IDR 9.4 billion. Lastly, its unrestricted retained earnings will also multiply to IDR 59.79 billion from IDR 34.62 billion. (LK/ZH)
