Blue-chip weakened, IDX saw 5.36% drop in total market cap
JAKARTA – Market capitalisation of Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) was reported shrinking by 5.36% in November 2024 from October 2024. Significant decline in market cap partly resulted from decreases in blue-chip stocks.
Based on IDNFinancials data, as of today (3/12), IDX registered market cap of IDR 12 quadrillion and listed shares of 11.88 trillion. Market cap was seen slipping by IDR 696 trillion from IDR 12.69 quadrillion seen in October 2024, with total listed shares of 11.87 trillion.
For further comparison, 50 issuers of capital market posted collective market cap of IDR 9.04 quadrillion, already 75.83% of total market cap in IDX. In October 2024, 50 issuers represented 75.70% of total market cap, with value standing at IDR 9.61 quadrillion.
For the record, some of the blue-chip stocks that induces the downtrend include PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA), PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN), PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI), PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI), PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA), PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM), and PT Pantai Indah Kapuk Dua Tbk (PANI).
