JAKARTA - On Tuesday, December 3, foreign investors upped their share purchasing and selling activity, with almost 6 billion shares bought and 4.43 billion shares sold. The net foreign volume then surplus and ended at 1.56 billion shares.

Foreign investors began buying shares by purchasing 3.45 billion shares of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), for a net volume of 1.16 billion shares.

In second place as a top buy, 282.57 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI) in the energy resources infrastructure sector were purchased, for a net volume of 198.93 million shares.

Aside from that, PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT) shares in the petrochemical and energy industry were purchased for 82.68 million shares, with a net volume of 52.93 million shares.

The shares of the property company PT Sentul City Tbk (BKSL) were then purchased for 48.21 million shares with a net volume of 43.16 million shares, followed by the purchase of 123.33 million shares of the telecommunications company PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) with a net volume of 42.09 million shares.

Meanwhile, foreign investors were spotted selling 214.86 million shares of coal mining company PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and recorded a net volume of -87 million shares. Shares of BUMI’s subsidiary, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), which operates in mineral mining, were also sold, totalling 77.72 million shares for a net volume of -16.55 million.

In the banking sector, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) shares were sold for 290.09 million shares, for a net volume of -44.41 million shares, followed by the sale of 31.90 million shares of PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Banten (Perseroda) Tbk (BEKS), for a net volume of -30.54 million shares.

Finally, shares of paint manufacturer PT Avia Avian Tbk (AVIA) were sold for around 49.08 million shares, with a net volume of -25.69 million. (KD)
