Indocement has not plan to raise the price of its cement products

13 November 2020 12:17

JAKARTA - PT Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP) has no plans to raise its cement prices until early next year, considering that the company can still reduce its expenses due to the decline in coal prices this year.

"Indocement benefits from low coal prices, and from low transportation expenses as well," said Christian Kartawijaya, President Director of INTP, in a disclosure published on the Indonesia Stock Exchange's website today (13/11)

According to him, with this reduction in expenses, Indocement does not plan to raise its prices too much since the company is able to maintain the balance of market share and margins.

David Clarke, Director of INTP added that Indocement has the ability to reduce fuel expenses and control the price component. "The types of fuel used are increasingly diverse, such as tires, rice husks, coffee shells, and all plastic waste," he said. (LK/AR)
