JAKARTA - DANA recorded various positive growths in the first half of 2021. The most significant growth was in the number of DANA digital wallet users, which experienced a jump from 50 million in December 2020 to 70 million in the first half of 2021. This increase placed DANA as the fastest growing financial technology company in this semester.
Another interesting positive growth from DANA is the growth in the average number of transactions per day which this semester increased to 5 million transactions per day from the previous 3 million transactions per day.
DANA noted, the highest average transaction per day occurred in May 2021. Compared to last year (May 2020), the average growth of transactions per day recorded in May 2021 increased by 164 percent. The average growth of transactions per day using the DANA digital wallet is driven by the increase in various digital non-cash transaction activities.
“This means that the financial technology we develop is more inclusive and provides wider benefits. Not just to make payments, but to carry out various transactions from commerce, social interaction, to saving or investing. On the other hand, the public and the entire ecosystem are increasingly educated and understand the usefulness of the DANA digital wallet in facilitating the implementation of digital cashless transactions that are practical, fast, real-time, efficient, more competent, comfortable, safe and protected," said Vince Iswara, CEO and Co.-Founder of DANA.
Rangga Wiseno, DANA's Senior VP of Product informed that of the various features that have been developed by DANA, there are five features that are most frequently used by users in the first half of 2021. These features are QRIS PAYMENT, SEND MONEY or KIRIM UANG, purchasing prepaid credit for mobile phones, Online Commerce payments and the BILLER feature for bill payments. (LM)
