JAKARTA – PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR) acquires a loan facility worth IDR 6.42 trillion from its parent company, PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT). The said loan facility is intended to support the construction of several toll routes of WTR’s subsidiaries.

In the information disclosure quoted Monday (14/2), Destiawan Soewardjono, President Director of Waskita Karya, explained that the said facility is a loan for WTR’s capital investments in PT Waskita Sriwijaya Toll Road (WST), PT Waskita Bumi Wira (WBW), and PT Trans Jabar Tol (TJT). Additionally, it would be used as a shareholder loan given to PT Kresna Kusuma Dyandra Marga (KKDM), PT Waskita Transjawa Toll Road (WTTR), and PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT).

The channelled loan equals approximately 40.78% of the total equity of WSKT as of September 2021 of IDR 15.74 trillion. Meanwhile, the acquired facility is equivalent to 27.32% of WTR’s equity reported in September 2021 of IDR 23.50 trillion.

The said transaction is expected to optimise the additional value of Waskita Karya as the shareholder of 87.60% of WTR’s shares. WTR’s authorised capital amounts to IDR 31.81 trillion with an issued and paid-up capital of IDR 16.71 trillion. Its other shareholders include PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) of 4.50%, and PT Tabungan dan Asuransi Pegawai Negeri (Persero) of 7.90%. (LK/ZH)
