JAKARTA – PT Batutua Tambang Abadi (BTA), a subsidiary of PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA), channelled out capital investment worth IDR 376.86 billion to PT Hamparan Logistik Nusantara (HLN). Said transaction took place earlier last week (30/6), involving the purchase of 292,907 shares issued by HLN.
In the information disclosure quoted Monday (4/7), Adi Adriansyah Sjoekri, Corporate Secretary of Merdeka Copper Gold, revealed that the investment consisted of the acquisition of 292,907 shares worth IDR 292.90 billion and an agio of IDR 83.96 billion.
“After the transaction, BTA gains 55.3% of HLN’s entire issued shares,” Sjoekri added.
According to Sjoekri, this transaction is categorised as an affiliate transaction as BTA and HLN are both under MDKA, with an ownership percentage of 99.50% and 55.67% each, respectively.
For the record, the total of this transaction, amounting to IDR 376.86 billion, does not exceed 20% of MDKA’s equity reported in December 2021, which reached USD 779.41 million. (LK/ZH)
