Four issuers attracted new investors near the end of the year
JAKARTA - Investors appear to be busy adding to their investment portfolios toward the end of 2022. On Wednesday, December 28, four issuers even pocketed new investors, who received more than 5% ownership immediately. First, PT Baramega Citra Mulia Persada recently purchased 300 million shares of PT Pradiksi Gunatama Tbk (PGUN), an East Kalimantan-based oil palm plantation issuer. Following that, Meepok Holdings Pte Ltd., a Singapore-based investor, purchased 242.5 million shares of PT Aesler Grup Internasional Tbk (RONY), acquiring 19.4% of the architectural and engineering consulting firm.
The Victoria Group even brought together the next two new investors. Its subsidiary, PT Victoria Sekuritas Indonesia, purchased 109.1 million shares in another subsidiary, PT Victoria Insurance Tbk (VINS). Following that, PT Victoria Alife Indonesia recently purchased 100.02 million shares of PT Batavia Prosperindo Trans Tbk (BPTR), a transportation service issuer.
Just after that, existing investors also purchased shares, such as PT MNC Kapital Indonesia Tbk, which added 769.69 million shares of PT Bank MNC Internasional Tbk (BABP), increasing its ownership from 46.77% to 49.16%. Following that, PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk purchased 300 million shares of PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), while PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk acquired another 76.29 million shares of PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS). Tolaram Group Inc., a Singaporean investor, has also strengthened its position in PT Bank Amar Indonesia Tbk (AMAR) by acquiring 61.2 million shares of AMAR from another Singaporean investor, Bank of Singapore Limited. GOTO Peopleverse Fund is also selling 114.05 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) in order to continue transferring shares. (KD)
