JAKARTA - On Thursday, December 29, just two days before the end of 2022, PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (or SIG) became a new shareholder and controller at PT Solusi Bangun Indonesia Tbk (SMCB). SIG purchased up to 7,533,148,888 shares, immediately acquiring 83.52% ownership of this cement manufacturer. In addition, a new investor approached PT Bintang Oto Global Tbk (BOGA). PT Suge Talesta Guna purchased 197.44 million shares of this automotive company, giving it 5.19% ownership immediately. Then, PT Baramega Citra Mulia Persada appears to have increased its holdings in PT Pradiksi Gunatama Tbk (PGUN) by purchasing an additional 227.7 million shares.

Surprisingly, PT Bank Victoria International Tbk (BVIC) owned the best-selling shares this time. Its holding company, PT Victoria Investama Tbk, purchased up to 1.46 billion BVIC shares, while individual investor Suzanna Tanojo purchased another 1.33 billion shares. A new foreign investor has also landed at this commercial bank issuer. Chemical Asia Corporation Pte Ltd., based in Singapore, immediately purchased 871.27 million shares for a 5.5% stake.

On the other hand, investor sales of shares appear to be slow. This time, the GOTO Peopleverse Fund, which normally sells in large quantities, only released 13.21 million shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO). Furthermore, PT Honoris Corporindo Pratama sold 12.5 million shares of PT Modernland Realty Tbk (MDLN), and the controlling shareholder, PT Sinar Mas Cakrawala, sold 10.22 million shares of PT Sinar Mas Multiartha Tbk (SMMA). Finally, PT Yulie Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk (YULE) sold 4.5 million of its own shares. (KD)
