The biggest contributor is the car financing segment, boasting IDR 14.2 trillion of credits and shifting 35% year-on-year (yoy) higher. Then, the motorcycle financing climbed a shy of 2.1% yoy to IDR 11.4 trillion, while the non-automotive financing shot up by 45% yoy to IDR 6.1 trillion in 2022.

Harry Latif, Director of Portfolio of Adira Finance, said than in 2022, the performance of electric vehicle (EV) financing only reached IDR 29.6 billion. “Number-wise, EV financing is yet to expand. We hope its growth could reach 2-3 times higher in the future,” he added.

According to Latif, EV is now becoming one of Adira Finance’s focus, which will be further expanded in 2023. Since November 2022, the company has reportedly granted subsidies for EV purchases, especially electric motorcycles. (AM/ZH)
