JAKARTA – PT Energi Baru TBS (EBT) has channelled IDR 23.59 billion worth of capital to assist PT Kreasi Terbarukan TBS (KTT) to take on new and renewable energy (NRE) sector.

Dicky Yordan, President Director of PT TBS Energi Utama Tbk (TOBA), EBT’s parent company, claimed that the additional capital was placed in through purchasing 23,597 units of shares issued by KTT. “EBT’s portion post-transaction now reaches 23,697 shares worth IDR 23.69 billion in total,” he added in the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (17/1).

Accordint to Yordan, the capital raise is intended to support KTT’s business so that it could secure its own revenue.

KTT’s shareholders include EBT, which owns 99.9% of the entire issued and paid-up capital of IDR 23.69 billion, and TOBA of 0.004%. Its authorised capital clocks up to IDR 50 billion. Until September 2022, TOBA collected a net profit of USD 48 million and revenue of USD 469 million, which was dominated by the coal segment with USD 429 million. (LK/ZH)
