JAKARTA. PT AirAsia Indonesia Tbk (CMPP), through one of its subsidiaries, PT Indonesia Airasia, has managed to bring in one unit of additional aircraft, an Airbus 320 under registration number PK-AZQ.

Leon Ruben, Director and Corporate Secretary of CMPP, claimed that said initiative is a manifestation of the company’s commitment in providing a better service. “It is to promote our operational activities,” he stated in the information disclosure in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

For the record, the acquisition of extra aircraft has been in CMPP’s plan for a while. In 2023, the company aims to add more aircrafts to its fleet, even exceeding the expanse of the fleet it owned in 2019.

“There is no significant impacts on operational activities, legal position, financial condition, or the sustainability of the company,” Ruben added.

Based on IDNFinancials data, CMPP recorded cash of IDR 132.11 billion at the end of September 2022, while its assets clocked up to IDR 4.78 trillion. (KR/ZH)
