Habco to purchase Supramax Bulk Carrier of IDR 173 billion
JAKARTA – PT Habco Trans Maritima Tbk (HATM) acquires a Supramax Bulk Carrier, which can hold 53,000 to 57,000 deadweight tonnages (DWT) from China’s shipyard.
Andrew Kam, President Director of HATM, claimed that the company has realised IDR 175.90 billion for the bulk carrier purchase. “The money will be sourced from the proceeds of the initial public offering (IPO) in July 2022,” he said, as quoted Wednesday (18/1).
Based on the prospectus, HATM will acquire the vessel with a specification of 5 cargo holds, 4 cranes, a minimum SWL (Safe Working Load) of 25 MT, a service speed of 11-14 knots, and a MAN B&W diesel machine.
The vessel is purchased for a price ranging between IDR 230 billion to IDR 300 billion. However, the selling party is not disclosed. HATM has reportedly collected IDR 175.90 billion of proceeds from its initial public offering (IPO) on July 22, 2022. (LK/ZH)
