JAKARTA - Foreign investors sold 564,037,600 shares of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) on Wednesday, January 18. Foreign purchases of GIAA account for only one-tenth of that total, bringing the net volume to minus 509.77 million shares. Foreign shareholders, on the other hand, purchased 1,575,382,000 shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), resulting in the highest net volume of 206.25 million shares. In terms of daily volume, foreigners sold 3.13 billion shares this time, while buying 2.86 billion, bringing the total foreign net volume to -266,839,300 million shares.

Following GOTO, foreign investors purchased 99.21 million FREN shares from PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN), for a net volume of 83.02 million shares. The next target for foreigners was 74.04 million shares of PT Wulandari Bangun Laksana Tbk (BSBK), followed by 42.43 million shares of PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM). These two issuers obtained a net volume of more than 30 million shares. Besides that, foreign investors continue to purchase 17.74 million shares of PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG), with a net volume of 15.62 million shares.

PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) and PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) shares, on the other hand, trailed GIAA with the lowest net volume, despite reporting only around minus 30 million shares. Foreign investors were also seen selling 75.83 million BUMI shares and 41.68 million BUKA shares. Finally, foreign ownership was removed from 38.25 million shares of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) and 14.08 million shares of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA). (KD)
