JAKARTA. PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) targets financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in 2023 to grow up to 18-20% on an annual basis or year-on-year (yoy).

Hery Gunardi, Main Director of BRIS, said that this target is in line with the MSME financing ratio which has reached the range of 23-24%. In 2022, the BRIS MSME financing portfolio is recorded at IDR 64 trillion.

"If the MSME portfolio is IDR 64 trillion, if it grows 10% it (adds) IDR 6 trillion, if it grows 20% it becomes IDR 12 trillion," said Gunardi.

For the long term, BRIS targets the financing portfolio for MSMEs to reach 30% by 2024. To achieve this target, the company has also prepared a number of programs to bring in prospective new entrepreneurs.

“Later, when it is bankable, it can be financed by the bank. If you are unbankable, use BSI Maslahat," explained Gunardi. (KR/LM)
