Investment realisation hit IDR 314 trillion mark in late 2022
JAKARTA. The Ministry of Investment recorded the realisation of investment in the fourth quarter (Q4) of 2022 of IDR 314.8 trillion, shifting 2.3% higher than the previous quarter.
“The realisation of investment that clocks up to IDR 314.8 trillion excludes MSMEs, oil and gas upstreaming, and finance sectors. Annually, in Q4 2022, it grew 30.3%,” Bahlil Lahadalia, Minister of Investment, announced in today’s (24/1) press conference.
Approximately 44.4% of total investment realisation in Q4 2022, or IDR 139.6 trillion, are categorised into domestic investment. The remaining 55.6%, or IDR 175.2 trillion, are foreign investments.
“This is the progress of our own work. We are grateful for the public that has maintained the stability of our economy and politic so that investments are promoted well,” Lahadalia added.
Based on sectors, mining industry became the most extensive contributor to the investment realisation in Q4 2022, boasting a total investment value of IDR 39.8 trillion. Then, the basic metal, metal goods, non-machinery, and its equipment followed with IDR 39.4 trillion. The next is the transportation, warehouse, and telecommunication sector of IDR 36.8 trillion, followed by the chemical and pharmaceutical industry of IDR 33.5 trillion and the industrial area and office spaces of IDR 28.9 trillion.
