JAKARTA - On Tuesday, January 24, the volume of foreign purchases was quite astounding, reaching 4.58 billion shares. This high volume has resulted in a spectacular net foreign of 1,733,999,500 shares. Shares of PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) remain the best-selling shares after foreigners acquired 3,481,200,200 shares for a net volume of 1,800,272,100 shares.

Aside from GOTO, foreign investors were also interested in PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), with 186.86 million and 104.14 million shares purchased, respectively. BRMS had a net volume of 121.27 million shares, while BUKA only had around half of that, with a net volume of 65.62 million shares. Foreigners also obtained nearly 40 million shares of PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG) and 24.82 million shares of PT Habco Trans Maritima Tbk (HATM), with a net volume of approximately 25 million shares for both issuers.

Foreign investors, on the other hand, sold a large amount of BRMS's parent company shares, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), totaling 243,117,000 and a net volume of -80.96 million. Then, foreign sales of 55.26 million shares of PT Ace Hardware Indonesia Tbk (ACES) were followed by 44.83 million shares of PT Bank KB Bukopin Tbk (BBKP). Both ACES and BBKP reported net volumes that are less than minus 30 million shares. Finally, foreign investors sold 31.86 million shares of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) and 25.54 million shares of PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF). (KD)
