JAKARTA. The consolidated net profit of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) in 2022 reportedly reached IDR 40.7 trillion, increasing 29.6% year-on-year (yoy) following the growth in creit disbursement.

Jahja Setiaadmadja, President Director of Bank Central Asia, said than in 2022, all credit segments showed improvement, bringing credit disbursement up by 11.7% yoy to IDR 711.3 trillion, slightly higher than the targeted 8% to 10% growth. Furthermore, hybrid business development, both online and offline, managed to drive the transaction frequency to its highest in 2022, as well as promoting the increase of current accounts and savings account (CASA) of 10.6% yoy. He revealed these achievements during a virtual press conference last Thursday (26/1).

Jahja also added that throughout 2022, BCA detected higher demand for credits than the previous year. Specifically, corporate credit climbed 12.5% yoy to IDR 322.2 trillion, while commercial and MSME credit shifted 10.1% yoy higher to IDR 210.2 trillion.

Meanwhile, vehicle credits also grew 13.6% yoy to IDR 46.1 trillion. The outstanding balance of credit cards also reportedly increased 13.4% to IDR 13.8 trillion, thus driving the total consumer credit 11.7% yoy higher to IDR 171.3 trillion. (AM/ZH)
