JAKARTA. PT Garudafood Putra Putri Jaya Tbk (GOOD) will introduce new products to brace itself against the intense competition in the market. Said consumer goods manufacturer has designed several strategies to drive its performance until it reached double-digit growth this year.

Paulus Tedjosutikno, Director of Garudafood, mentioned that his company has set some supporting initiatives, including reinforcing its export activities to China, which is no longer under lockdown. Another strategy is partnering with other market places to optimise and expand its business-to-business (B2B) and business to consumer (B2C) channels. He aims to boost Garudafood’s online product sales, as quoted by Bisnis last week.

Tedjosutikno further mentioned that new product launch will help Garudafood to face the ever-strong business competition after the national economic recovery. “With the number of players in this sector, the competition will be even more intense,” he added, as he told Bisnis last week (29/1).

Although the threat of inflation looms over the market, Tedjosutikno remains confident in attaining double-digit growth target. “After seeing our sales trend in 2022, which consistently recorded double-digit increment, we are optimistic that the sales and profit of the company will be able to continue to improve in 2023,” he concluded.
