JAKARTA - After being in the green with fantastic volume the day before, net foreign trade volume was significantly lower on Wednesday, January 25. The difference between foreign purchases 2.4 billion and sales 2.92 billion produced a net foreign balance of minus 528,817,000. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares are back in the spotlight following large foreign transactions totaling 1,685,928,300 shares and a net volume of minus 284,351,400. This figure is significantly larger in comparison to the highest net volume of 19.03 million shares from PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI) after foreigners purchased 28.46 million BBNI shares.

Next on the list, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) shares are still the most widely sold by foreigners, with a volume sold by foreigners of 217.15 million and a net volume of -27.28 million. Following that, foreign investors sold 58.20 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), resulting in a net volume of -42.64 million shares, making it the second lowest after GOTO. Furthermore, 43.78 million shares of PT PAM Mineral Tbk (NICL) and 33.97 million shares of PT Media Nusantara Citra Tbk (MNCN) were dumped by foreign investors. The two companies reported a net volume of approximately minus 25 million shares.

Apart from BBNI, shares of other banking issuers also contributed to this time's top-buy list. Foreigners purchased 12.22 million shares of PT Bank Raya Indonesia Tbk (AGRO) and 15.88 million shares of PT Bank Neo Commerce Tbk (BBYB) in the second and third places, respectively. The net volumes of the two banks were 11 million shares each. In addition, foreign investors purchased 13.05 million shares of PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BBTN), with a net volume of only 8.81 million shares. Finally, from the broadcasting industry, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) shares, totaling 29.66 million, were successfully sold to foreign investors. (KD)
