Building and infrastructure dominated WIKA’s new contracts in 2022
JAKARTA. The infrastructure and building segments covered 63% of total new contracts of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk (WIKA), which clocked up to IDR 33.35 trillion in 2022. The value of these new contracts was 24.43% higher than IDR 26.8 trillion seen in 2021.
Mahendra Vijaya, Corporate Secretary of Wijaya Karya, further specified that the building and infrastructure segment generated IDR 20.76 trillion worth of new contracts. Then, the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) segment followed behind with 16% contribution worth IDR 5.07 trillion. Then, the property and investment segment took up another 19% each, earning IDR 949 billion and IDR 81 billion, respectively.
In 2023, WIKA aims to secure new contracts worth IDR 34-36 trillion, which is IDR 2.65 trillion higher than the realisation in 2022. “Yes, we aim for two digits higher. We are targeting to reach between IDR 34 trillion and IDR 36 trillion,” Vijaya further explained, as quoted by Bisnis earlier this week.
WIKA is currently handling several projects, including Pekanbaru-Padang Toll Road worth IDR 3.46 trillion, whose progress has reached 68.19%. It also manages the Rapid Railway project worth IDR 14.5 trillion, whose progress has reached 96.27%, Tiga Dihaji Water Reservoir worth IDR 596 billion, whose progress has reached 68.63%, a power plant of 2x50 MW in Palu worth IDR 2.09 trillion, whose progress has reached 66.54%, and undersea cable network of 150 kV spanning from Sumatera to Bangka worth IDR 666 billion, whose progress has reached 93.97%.
