JAKARTA. PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR), a subsidiary of PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) that is engaged in the toll road operation, has received additional capital worth IDR 762.78 billion.

Said capital injection was received through an issued and paid-up capital increase, in which WTR issued 503,964 units of shares. Those shares were fully claimed by WSKT as the controlling shareholder of WTR.

After this capital raise, WSKT now gains control over 92.31% of WTR, increasing from 92.10%. On the other hand, the portion of another investor in WTR, PT Dana Tabungan dan Asuransi Pegawai Negeri (Persero) is diluted from 7.90% to 7.69%.

The management of WSKT then confirmed that the extra capital was granted to cover funding needs of WTR and its affiliates.

“With the additional capital from the company to WTR, we expect WTR to maximise its performance and bring forth added value for our company as its shareholder,” the management of WSKT mentioned in the official release. (KR/ZH)
