JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) managed to collect third-party funds of IDR 1.49 quadrillion in 2022, shifting 15.46% from IDR 1.29 quadrillion seen in 2021.

Darmawan Junaidi, President Director of Bank Mandiri, mentioned that the growth of these third-party funds is supported by increases in current accounts and saving accounts. “Both grew 31.2% and 13.5% year-on-year (yoy),” he revealed in the press release quoted Thursday (2/2).

Third-party funds in current accounts reportedly amounted to IDR 519.07 trillion, while the funds in saving accounts and wadiah reached IDR 480.48 trillion. Then, the term deposits clocked up to IDR 296.57 trillion, and the temporary syirkah funds were IDR 196.20 trillion.

In 2021, current accounts held IDR 399.79 trillion, savings and wadiah were IDR 422.31 trillion, term deposits were IDR 293.17 trillion, and temporary syirkah funds arrived at IDR 176.90 trillion.

Bank Mandiri recorded current account saving account (CASA) ratio of 77.64% in 2022, shifting 365 base points (bps) higher yearly and surpassing the average in the banking industry. (LK/ZH)
