JAKARTA – PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM) reported an increase in its precious metal (gold) sales of 19%, despite the 24.88% decline in its production volume throughout 2022.

Based on its information disclosure quoted Thursday (2/2), Syarif Faisal Alkadrie, Corporate Secretary of Aneka Tambang, mentioned that the total gold production volume in 2022 only reached 1,268 kg, shrinking from 1,688 kg recorded in 2021. “Meanwhile, the (unaudited) gold sales volume reached 34,967 kg, shifting 18.9% from 2021 of 29.385 kg,” he mentioned.

According to Alkadrie, the increase of gold sales volume resulted from the gold value addition program, for example, the launch of gold and gold bar included in the Series III of Batik Indonesia. “The company focuses on reinforcing the user base of precious metals within the country,” he mentioned.

Throughout the fourth quarter of 2022, the gold sales clocked up to 9,036 kg, decreasing from 9,514 kg in Q4 2021. Meanwhile, the gold production reached 2,275 kg, also sliding off yearly from 3,041 kg. (LK/ZH)
