JAKARTA - The performance of foreign trade on Wednesday, February 1, was quite optimistic, as it closed positively with 422,191,300 shares. Foreign investors purchased 2.35 billion shares, while the volume sold was not even 2 billion, roughly 1.92 billion shares. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares were once again the ones with the most foreign purchases, 656.57 million, as well as the highest net volume, 268.06 million shares.

Aside from GOTO, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) and PT Wulandari Bangun Laksana Tbk (BSBK) shares are also selling well to foreign investors, with 128.71 million BBRI shares and 116.85 million BSBK shares sold to them. BBRI also had a net volume of around 57 million shares, while BSBK had a net volume of around 84 million. Foreign investors also purchased 69.50 million shares of PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) and 61.33 million shares of PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), making net volumes of 56.78 million shares of BRMS, and 43.29 million shares of SCMA.

Meanwhile, PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (GIAA) shares have taken their place on the top-sell list after foreign investors sold more than 120.70 million GIAA shares, resulting in the lowest net volume at minus 79.05 million. In fact, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI) had a higher sales volume at 150.91 million shares, but the net volume was only around -27.75 million.

Foreign investors then sold 69.32 million shares of PT Energi Mega Persada Tbk (ENRG) and 64.65 million shares of PT Sumber Alfaria Trijaya Tbk (AMRT). ENRG had a net volume of -66 million shares, while AMRT had a net volume of around -27 million shares. Finally, they released 40.81 million shares from PT Wir Asia Tbk (WIRG), so the net volume was minus 37.75 million shares. (KD)
