Unilever’s net profit shrank 6.9% yoy in 2022
JAKARTA. PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) booked a net profit of IDR 5.35 trillion in 2022, declining 6.9% year-on-year (yoy), or compared to the same period last year.
It is quite unexpected as this giant consumer goods company managed to record a healthy amount of sales, reaching IDR 41.22 trillion, in 2022. The revenue increased 4.22% yoy from IDR 39.55 trillion.
Based on the data collected by IDNFinancials, UNVR’s sales in 2022 were still concentrated in the domestic market, which generated revenue of IDR 39.48 trillion, whereas export sales clocked up to IDR 1.74 trillion.
Product-wise, household and bodycare products dominated UNVR’s sales in 2022, contributing IDR 27.26 trillion in total. Then, food and beverages arrived at the second place with IDR 13.96 trillion worth of revenue.
Until December 31, 2022, UNVR’s total assets reached IDR 18.32 trillion, while its equity was recorded at IDR 3.99 trillion. (KR/ZH)
