TRJA targets customer in Morowali
JAKARTA - PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA), a mining vehicle service provider, has moved its branch office in Makassar, South Sulawesi to Morowali, Central Sulawesi to target mining consumers in that area.
In a press release quoted on Monday (13/2), Alexander Syauta, Corporate Secretary of PT Transkon Jaya Tbk (TRJA) said that the move was related to the company's expansion into the nickel mining industry. "Morowali is the area that dominates the nickel industry in Indonesia," he said.
According to him, the company is optimistic that it can serve customers in line with the development of the nickel industry in the region. The need for nickel commodities will increase along with the development of new and renewable energy (EBT).
Currently, the nickel industry is in the portfolio of customers served by the company since 2020.
It is known that PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) and PT Bahodopi Nickel Smelting Indonesia (BNSI) have started to open a mine and build a nickel smelter in Sambalagi, Morowali, last week (10/2). (LK/LM)
