JAKARTA – The credit disbursement of PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA) reportedly increased 15.48% year-on-year (yoy) to IDR 70.29 trillion at the end of December 2022 from IDR 60.68 trillion recorded in 2021.

Kostaman Thayib, President Director of Bank Mega, revealed that the factor that primarily drove the credit growth is the corporate credit sector. “The corporate credit sector grew 22.99% yoy from IDR 39.93 trillion to IDR 49.11 trillion,” he said in the information disclosure quoted Tuesday (14/2).

For its gross non-performing loan (NPL), MEGA recorded 1.23%, while its loan deposit ratio arrived at 68.04%. Its operating expenses/operating income ratio reportedly arrived at 56.76%.

On the other hand, Bank Mega booked third-party funds of DIR 102.95 trillion, shifting 4.09% yoy from IDR 98.91 trillion.

Its profit before taxes reached IDR 5.03 trillion, increasing 1.52% from IDR 4.95 trillion. The increased profit coincided with the net interest income growth of IDR 1.03 trillion, bringing it from IDR 4.84 trillion in 2021 to IDR 5.87 trillion in 2022. (LK/ZH)
