Mitratel acquires 997 ISAT's tower sites for IDR 1.64 trillion
JAKARTA – PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) or Mitratel, has acquired 997 tower sites from PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) for IDR 1.64 trillion.
In the information disclosure quoted Wednesday (16/2), Hendra Purnama, Director of Investment of Mitratel, revealed that the conditional sale and purchase agreement (CSPA) was signed yesterday (15/2).
At the same time, Mitratel signed a lease agreement of 983 tower sites to Indosat for the next 10 years. The value of this tower lease clocks up to IDR 138.60 billion per year, or IDR 1.38 trillion for 10 years.
"The primary lease will take effect according to the completion of the tower site sale and purchase transaction," Purnama mentioned.
According to Purnama, once the CSPA and the primary lease take effect, the scale and ecosystem of the company will be strengthened. (LK/ZH)
