JAKARTA – The performance of PT Surya Esa Perkasa Tbk (ESSA) skyrocketed, as seen through 141.6% year-on-year (yoy) revenue growth in 2022. Its profit was even more impressive, scoring 1,438% yoy increase from USD 1.35 million in 2021 to USD 220.79 million in 2022.

Based on the 2022 Financial Report issued today (20/2), Chander Vinod Laroya, President Director of Surya Esa Perkasa, claimed that the revenue in 2022 reached USD 731.49 million. It was a massive jump from USD 303.43 million in 2021.

The segment that contributed the most to the total revenue is ammonia sales (to related parties), which clocked up to USD 681.36 million. Then, LPG sales (to third parties) and manufacturing services generated USD 46.54 million and USD 3.58 million, respectively. In 2021, ammonia sales reached USD 260.19 million, whiles LPG sales and manufacturing services turned in USD 39.74 billion and USD 3.48 million.

Lastly, its gross profit was tripled from USD 110.28 million in 2021 to USD 341.16 million in 2022, resulting in its profit before taxes that skyrocketed from USD 10.09 million to USD 276.06 million. This massive achievement was possible due to an upturn in its financial income and an obvious shrink in financial expenses. (LK/ZH)
